Let me tell you guys a story: One day, 17 year old me is just working away when I see, out of the corner of my eye, COURTNEY BARBEE HEADED STRAIGHT FOR MY STORE. You see, Courtney was intimidating because she was pretty and popular and NICE and everyone loved her, and, well, I was just slightly awkward. My heart is beating fast because like OMG a cool older girl from my high school is coming into my store and there is nobody else around and I have to actually interact with someone I'm intimidated by! Cue panic attack.
Well, turns out, she was coming in to ask for an application, and over the next years, Courtney (yes COURTNEY BARBEE) would become very special to me. We worked together in our hometown, and we went to college together 3 hours away. She would come pick me up from my dorm room and take me out to mexican, we would go running together over the summers (okay... well, maybe that happened only like 1 time), and bond while spending our days together at the MN (that's Merle Norman, for all you who are out of the loop).
Courtney has always been a HUGE support to me. What started out as jokes of "you can be MY wedding photographer," back when I first picked up a camera, turned into Courtney actually getting engaged, and ACTUALLY ASKING ME to be her wedding photographer. She's had complete faith in me from the get-go, and I think that at least half of my business has come from her :)
All of this to say: I love COURTNEY BARBEE (now Wilkerson). What started out as a panic attack at work my senior year of high school, turned into this.
Courtney married her long time beau, Tyler, last weekend. And it was completely beautiful and fun and perfect. I have these bridal portraits (which I have been DYING to share) to tide you over for a bit, and then the Wilkersons will be back on the blog!
A huge thank you to the kind folks at Elodie Farms for letting us use their land, and to Courtney's parents, Aunt, and Maids of Honor for helping us with this setup!
Court, you could not have been a more beautiful bride! I am beyond thankful and so, so happy for you!
