First of all, I was honored to have this wedding featured over on The Lovely Find. Go over and check it (and many other gorgeous things) out!
This wedding was, among other things, stunning. It took place at Old Orchard Creek Farm, which is a working blueberry farm in Lansing, NC. (Read: in between some mountain springs and dirt roads, and far away from the thriving metropolis (ha!) of the closest town, West Jefferson). The weather could not have been more perfect. I'm talking cool breeze, ideal temperature, sun filtering in through the leaves kind of perfect. Courtney and her bridesmaids did yoga before getting ready, which was the coolest way to get relaxed and centered before the hustle bustle began.
Okay, now let's talk DETAILS! I looooved them, and not only because they were pretty, but because they were all meaningful. The flowers were done by Courtney's aunt, her hair and makeup by her cousin, her dress was handmade, all of the cakes were made by one of the groomsmen (also, YUM), and Peter is a botanist, so all of the guests left with tiny adorable plants. You could clearly see the heart behind every detail, and the amount of care that Peter and Courtney put into their celebration.
Of course, the most important part of the day was that Peter and Courtney got married! Their ceremony was simple and sweet, Courtney looked like an angel, Peter was smitten with his bride, and it was just the most exquisite day. They've now welcomed a baby boy, Aiden, into their family, and I know they are overjoyed!
Smiths: I cannot thank you enough for having me be a part of your day. Seriously.
Okay, you can look at some pictures now :)
(Small note: not only was this the first wedding I'd photographed, it was also the first wedding I'd even attended since I was in first grade. I could not have asked for a more beautiful introduction into the world of weddings, and Courtney and Peter were so gracious to me!)
